Char-Grilled Garlic Baby Octopus Recipe

This is a very simple bbq recipe that is full of flavour and sure to impress your family and friends!

To make life easier ask your fish monger to prep and clean the ocotpus.

1KG baby octopus

5 cloves garlic, finely chopped

2 chillies, finely chopped

2/3 cup olive oil

2 cups white wine

1 cup white wine or sherry vinegar

1 tbsp cracked pepper

1 tsp coarse salt

 

Combine garalic, chilli, olive oil. wine, vinegar, pepper and salt and divide in half.

Add octopuus to a bowl with one half of the marinade, coat the octopus well and allow to marinate for 45 mins to an hour in the fridge.

Heat your BBQ over medium flame and once hot, grill the ocotpus for about 4-5 mins on each side, remove from heat and place in a bowl, add the remaining marinade and the juice of 1 lemon, allow to stand for 4 mins before serving.
